AXIS Capital introduces new inland marine division

AXIS Capital Holdings is expanding in North America with the introduction of a new inland marine unit. This strategic move is aimed at improving the company's specialty product offerings and overall capabilities in the region. Leading the new unit is Kristen Hunter, who has been appointed as the head of inland marine, North America.

Hunter will be reporting to Mike McKenna, who serves as the head of North America at AXIS. McKenna expressed his confidence in Hunter, stating that she is a skilled and experienced leader who will effectively launch and grow the new North American inland marine business unit. The launch of this unit reflects AXIS's commitment to expanding its global product capabilities and investing in its US platform to meet the evolving needs of the market.

Hunter brings with her a wealth of experience, having previously held leadership roles at companies such as Berkshire Hathaway, Brit, XL Catlin, Hiscox, and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. Joining Hunter are Ciara Nolan, Sinead O'Shea, and Saoirse McNulty, who will be taking on underwriting roles within the new team. In addition to this expansion, AXIS Capital recently appointed Lori Bailey as the head of cyber and technology, and Rebecca O'Kill as the chief data and analytics officer.
