Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of Greg Zimmer as its new CEO, taking over from Tom Corbett, who will transition to the role of executive chairman. Zimmer, who initially joined Alliant as CFO in 1998 and later became president in 2007, has played a crucial role in the company's growth and development, including overseeing numerous mergers and acquisitions that have expanded the company to nearly 11,000 employees.
Corbett commended Zimmer for his leadership in navigating Alliant through significant growth, while Zimmer highlighted the company's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to exceptional service.Having been part of Alliant since 1977, Corbett was instrumental in establishing the company as a key player in the insurance brokerage and consulting industry.
In addition to Zimmer's appointment, Ralph Hurst has been promoted to president at Alliant, with Peter Arkley and Sean McConlogue also assuming new leadership roles within the company's divisions. These changes are set to take effect on April 1, as per a company announcement.
