FM Global CEO Assumes Role as Board Chair

FM Global has recently announced the appointment of Malcolm C. Roberts as the new chair of the board of directors, taking over from Thomas A. Lawson, who has been serving as president and CEO since 2014.

Roberts, who has a background in chemical engineering, has been with FM Global since 1995 and has worked his way up to become president and a board member in 2021, taking on the role of chief executive in the following year. Expressing his gratitude for his new role, Roberts stated, "It is an honor and a privilege to be appointed chair of the board. I thank the board for its continued support as we work together to execute on our strategy and take the next step in FM Global's journey.

" Board member John A. Luke Jr. commended Roberts' leadership, noting the outstanding results and continued expansion of FM Global's business under his guidance.

FM Global, a global leader in commercial property insurance, covers over $10 trillion in business property in more than 130 countries. Roberts reported positive financial results for the company in 2023, with a surplus of $22.5 billion and a combined ratio of 67.4%. He also expressed gratitude to FM Global's clients, partners, colleagues, and communities for their support.
