A school representative has announced that applicants must acknowledge their use of AI in the application process and confirm the accuracy of the information provided. The school has previously requested that potential students disclose if they utilized a professional consultant for their applications. The spokesperson emphasized that AI tools are accessible to applicants from all economic backgrounds.

Dean Stacy Leeds from Arizona Law School reassured students that using AI is allowed as the admissions cycle begins on August 10th. Leeds stated, "This is just one more tool available to students as they consider how to present their admissions package." Leeds recognized that lawyers and law students are already using AI but clarified that the new policy is only applicable to prospective students.

The law school is still working on developing guidelines regarding the use of AI in the classroom and coursework. This decision follows the implementation of a policy by the University of Michigan Law School, which prohibits the use of popular AI tools like ChatGPT in student applications and requires applicants to confirm compliance with the restriction.
