Gallagher acquires a company in Iowa

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Horak Insurance specializes in serving commercial and personal lines clients as well as farms. Following the acquisition, the team led by Paul Horak and Luke Horak will continue to operate from their current locations under the leadership of Ryan Isaacs, head of Gallagher's Midwest region retail P&C brokerage operations.

J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman and CEO of Arthur J.Gallagher, expressed excitement about the growth opportunities this acquisition brings to their business in Iowa. He welcomed Paul, Luke, and their team to the Gallagher family. In addition to this acquisition, Gallagher's subsidiary Risk Placement Services recently acquired Forest Insurance Facilities in Louisiana.

Gallagher Re also made headlines by appointing Virgil Antonio de Souza as the head of the surety and credit practice for its Latin American and Caribbean team.
