Lockton, a prominent insurance brokerage company, has announced changes in its leadership team. Travis Leonard has been appointed as the new chief financial officer, taking over from Troy Cook who had held the position for over two decades. Cook will now serve as a direct advisor to chairman and CEO Ron Lockton in the corporate development department.

Leonard is described as a highly qualified professional with experience in global markets. His previous role was as CFO at Hostess Brands before its acquisition by JM Smucker Co. Leonard has also held leadership positions at Cardinal Health and Kraft Foods, including an international posting in Brazil.

He started his career at Arthur Anderson in financial and economic consultancy. A native of Kansas City, Leonard holds a BS in Finance and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. CEO Lockton expressed enthusiasm about Leonard's appointment, highlighting his financial expertise, global outlook, and dynamic energy that will help drive the company forward.

Cook, on the other hand, will transition to the role of EVP of corporate development and will play a role in Leonard's onboarding process. Lockton commended Cook for his dedication and leadership in positioning the company for growth. Cook's transition from independent board member to CFO in 2020 was part of Lockton's long-term strategy.

His contributions to Lockton's success will continue as he moves into a leadership role in corporate development. Share your thoughts on this leadership transition at Lockton in the comments section below.
