NFP has recently completed the acquisition of Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurances Ltd, known as Barrett Private Insurances, in Ireland. The director of the acquired company, John Barrett, will take on a new role as a managing director at NFP. His main focus will be on expanding the Private Client Group in both Ireland and the UK, catering to the unique risk management needs of high-net-worth individuals and families.
Barrett Private Insurances has been a key player in the Irish market for over three decades, specializing in various types of insurance including home, collections, travel, auto, yachts, and bloodstock. Their expertise in dealing with complex risk management issues for private clients has made them a trusted name in the industry. JP Allcock, who serves as NFP's group managing director in Europe, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition. He believes that the addition of Sean Barrett Bloodstock Insurances' team will further strengthen NFP's presence in Ireland. The emphasis on personalized service by the acquired team aligns with NFP's customer-centric approach, with plans to enhance the range of private client services in Ireland and the UK. Barrett himself is excited about the new partnership and sees great potential in combining the global resources and talent base of NFP with their team's expertise. He is confident that together they can deliver significant value to their clients. In a separate development, Lenox Advisors, Inc., which is affiliated with NFP, has acquired Martin/Wight & Company, LLC (M&W), a firm based in Maryland specializing in insurance and financial services for medical professionals. M&W's focus on executive benefits, wealth management, financial planning, and insurance products for physicians, dentists, and medical centers in the Baltimore area complements NFP's offerings.NFP's Growth in Ireland Bolstered by Strategic Acquisition
