New Head of Environmental for North America Named by AXIS Capital

Eric Paglieri has recently been named the head of environmental for AXIS Capital Holdings' North America division. Based in New York, Paglieri will be reporting to Michael McKenna, who heads the North America division at AXIS. In his new position, Paglieri will be overseeing the environmental underwriting team as they work on enhancing the company's specialty insurance offerings in North America.

These offerings are tailored to include environmental liability coverages for various sectors such as contractors, consultants, manufacturers, and commercial properties. Bringing with him more than 15 years of underwriting experience, Paglieri specializes in environmental risk and has expertise in general liability, product liability, site pollution, and excess liability. Prior to joining AXIS, Paglieri played a key role in launching the environmental division at Ascot and also worked as a P&C producer at Program Brokerage Corp.

McKenna emphasized the ever-changing and complex landscape of environmental liability risks. The specialized underwriting approach and deep understanding of risks by AXIS' environmental team are crucial in navigating through these complexities. Paglieri's appointment is part of AXIS' strategy to strengthen its position in specialty insurance sectors.

Recently, the company has also appointed Cliff Gallant as the head of investor relations and corporate development, along with securing a lucrative four-year contract to provide specialty accident and health insurance solutions.
