Quarterly Dividends Declared by Allstate and UFG

The recent quarterly dividend announcements from The Allstate Corporation and United Fire Group have generated buzz in the financial world. Allstate revealed that their board has approved a quarterly dividend of $0.92 per outstanding share of common stock, marking a 3.4% increase from the previous quarter. Additionally, around $29.3 million in dividends has been declared on various series of preferred stock.

The common stock dividend is set to be paid on April 1, with preferred dividends following on April 15. Allstate's CFO, Jess Merten, emphasized that this increase reflects the company's dedication to rewarding shareholders and showcases their financial stability. 

 Similarly, UFG, a property and casualty insurer, announced a common stock quarterly cash dividend of $0.16 per share, payable on March 22. This dividend marks their 224th consecutive quarterly payment since March 1968. UFG reported a consolidated net income of $19.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2023, driven by increased underwriting and investment income. President and CEO Kevin Leidwinger lauded the results as a sign of the company's growth and progress.
