USAA has recently made an exciting announcement, pledging to donate four National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides to support veterans and their communities. The initiative aims to provide restored cars to deserving military families, offering them reliable transportation. Randy Termeer, USAA Property and Casualty President, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting veterans and their families through the NABC Recycled Rides program.

He stated, "These vehicles serve as a symbol of our gratitude for the sacrifices made by our service members and represent more than just transportation." Non-profit organizations played a crucial role in nominating deserving recipients for the program, with the vehicles being repaired and donated through a partnership between NABS and other entities in the collision repair industry. One of the vehicles, set to be given on May 15 in the greater Chicago area, was restored by employee volunteers at Gerber Collision Glass, with the recipient nominated by the VFW - Post 2245.

The first vehicle donated in April was restored by Fix Auto Poway employee volunteers and presented in San Diego to a nominee from the Support the Enlisted Project (STEP). USAA, known for providing insurance, banking, and retirement services to US military members, veterans, and their families, also supports national and local non-profits that assist military families and communities on an annual basis. The NABC Recycled Rides program, launched in 2007, brings together businesses from the collision repair industry to repair and donate vehicles to individuals in need of reliable transportation.

Over 2,400 vehicles worth more than $34 million have been donated through the program to date. Share your thoughts on this inspiring story by leaving a comment below.
